One of the main challenges of the collaboration was preparing a local brand for national expansion. We also considered it important to retain some elements of the old identity so that brand recognition in the established area would not be wasted. The third major challenge was securing the right products and teams to be able to implement the concept successfully anywhere: especially the curved glass and the thin roof structure that would become emblematic to the brand.

We proposed a simple volume, made spectacular through the structure of the roof and through the curved corners of the façade. We used the counter both functionally in the interior but also as an element of the façade to create a protected but open relationship with the client. The structure and glass panes were designed together with a structural engineer and a technical glass engineer to ensure that all elements would work correctly in concert.
